About the Institute
The Midwestern Institute for Preaching and Preachers
About the Institute
Midwestern Seminary sees the training and resourcing of preachers as central to its founding mission and its ongoing work for the church. The commitment of the Midwestern Institute for Preaching and Preachers is to offer new training, resources, and relationships for current and aspiring preachers of the authoritative, inerrant, sufficient Word of God.
Fundamental to this commitment is our aim to facilitate constructive interaction between preachers to bring life-giving encouragement, mutual sharpening of skills for the craft of preaching, and an overall sense of community. In short, the Institute is intended to serve preachers with longevity in view—and eternity in view.
Key Features
Regional Preaching
and Preachers Workshops
Preaching and Preachers Workshops are the primary entry point for training, as preachers learn and grow together and build interactive relationships with others committed to faithful preaching. Annually, we plan to host two on campus in Kansas City, with four others occurring in regional cities in partnership with local churches.
Renewing and Instructive

Our growing library of preaching-specific content on this site is another means to aid current and aspiring preachers as they seek to prepare and deliver faithful, text-driven, Gospel-centered sermons. Explore the variety of content we’ve created including preaching guides, articles on preaching, and more.
