In this week’s episode, Dr. P. Chase Sears and Dr. Jonathon D. Woodyard join Dr. Jared Bumpers to discuss The Simplicity of Preaching. Dr. Sears is Senior Pastor of Tulip Grove Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He has over a decade of ministry experience in the local church and has taught New Testament and Exegesis at the college and seminary levels. He is married to Sarah, and they have five children. He is the author of Heirs of Promise (Lexham Press, 2015) and The Simplicity of Preaching (Christian Focus, 2025). Dr. Woodyard currently serves as Vice President for Student Life and Assistant Professor of Historical Theology at Southwest Baptist University in Missouri. He and Gina have been married for twenty years and have two sons. He is the author of The Simplicity of Preaching (Christian Focus, 2025).
